Course 3 - Basic Handling Skills

Courses
Course Duration: 6 hours. - This content usually forms the basis of the Novice Rider Course and is part of that course but it is listed here as a seperate module for those who have previously achieved their motorcycle licence but have not ridden a motorcycle in a while.

In this course, in addition to learning how to manipulate the basic controls, we also teach the concept of "look there..go there" establishing proper use of eyes and body position for turns, cornering and steering.
The learner is introduced to the concept of use of the clutch friction point and the correct way to slow down and bring the machine to a stop under different conditions.

Balance and body position exercises develop competent handling of the machine. This a "getting to know the bike" segment. An understanding of both vehicle controls and vehicle dynamics is the desired outcome.
